A step-by-step guide to finding a trial, contacting the study team, screening and informed consent.

1. Find trials that match your situation

Start with your condition and the area where you can travel. Each trial listing shows its locations, phase and recruitment status.

Talk with your doctor early. They know your history and can help you judge whether a study is a reasonable option.

2. Read the eligibility criteria

Every study lists inclusion criteria (who can join) and exclusion criteria (who cannot). Common factors include age, diagnosis, previous treatments and other health conditions.

Don't rule yourself out too quickly — the study team makes the final decision during screening.

3. Contact the study team

Use the contact details on the trial page to reach the research site directly. RightFit never asks for or stores your health information — your conversation is with the study team only.

4. Screening visit

If you seem to qualify, you'll be invited to a screening visit. This may include questions, a physical exam or lab tests to confirm eligibility.

5. Informed consent

Before you join, the team will explain the study's purpose, procedures, risks and benefits. You'll receive a consent document to read and sign. You can ask questions and take time to decide.

You can leave a clinical trial at any time, for any reason.
