About this study

In plain language

This study tests whether cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT) for parents can improve outcomes for them and their premature baby who spent time in the NICU, a special care unit for newborns. CBT helps people work on their thoughts and behaviors. The study is for babies born early at Parkland Hospital and their parents.

This study is being done to see if outcomes for both a premature infant's parents and the infant born prematurely who have spent time in the neonatal intensive care unit (NICU) can be improved through parent cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT) sessions.

Compensation is read from the study's own description and may be missing — always confirm with the study team.
