No one can promise a trial will help you personally — that is what the research is trying to find out.
What participation involves
Not stated in the study description — ask the study team about visits and procedures.
- Compensation
- Not stated
- Study-related exams and procedures are typically provided at no cost. This is how many trials work in general — confirm the details for this study with the study team.

About this study
In plain language
This study tests a tool in electronic health records that gives care providers Ultromics EchoGo heart scan results and advice on medicines to help prevent heart failure. It is for providers caring for people with type 2 diabetes who have a high risk of heart failure.
A pragmatic electronic health record (EHR) based randomized controlled trial to evaluate the utility of providing Ultromics EchoGo analysis results and recommendations for HF risk prevention therapies using an EHR embedded clinical decision support tool.
Compensation is read from the study's own description and may be missing — always confirm with the study team.
Eligibility

- Have type 2 diabetes and a high WATCH DM score, a measure of heart failure risk.
- Have had an echocardiogram, an ultrasound scan of the heart, in the past 6 months.
- Care providers for patients who meet these rules will be included in the trial.
Who can't join
- Have a history of heart failure, which means the heart does not pump blood as well as it should.

Simplified for readability. The official criteria below are what the study team uses.
Official eligibility criteria
Clinical cohort inclusion exclusion criteria: Inclusion Criteria: * Patients with diagnosis of Type 2 diabetes and High WATCH DM score. * Echocardiogram available in last 6-months. Exclusion Criteria: * History of HF * Not eligible for prescription of new GLP-1RA or SGLT2i or ns-MRA Corresponding providers to patients identified by the above inclusion exclusion criteria will be included in the clinical trial of the decision support tool.
