What to expect

No one can promise a trial will help you personally — that is what the research is trying to find out.

What participation involves

Not stated in the study description — ask the study team about visits and procedures.

Compensation
Not stated
  • Study-related exams and procedures are typically provided at no cost. This is how many trials work in general — confirm the details for this study with the study team.
  • Participants are monitored closely by the research team throughout the study.
  • Some participants may receive access to an investigational treatment, which is still being studied.
  • Your participation helps researchers learn whether this approach could help future patients.

About this study

In plain language

This study reviews past medical records of adults with non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC) that could be removed by surgery. It compares robot-assisted surgery, video-assisted surgery through small cuts (VATS), and open surgery after treatment with chemotherapy and immune-based drugs, or immune-based drugs alone.

The study is a retrospective observational study. The study is designed to be multicentric and international and it will analyze medical records from selected patients diagnosed with locally advanced and resectable NSCLC who underwent lung resection by robotic, VATS and open approach after receiving neoadjuvant chemo-immunotherapy. There are no risks for the patients, as this is a retrospective data collection.

Compensation is read from the study's own description and may be missing — always confirm with the study team.

Eligibility

Who can join

  • Were age 18 or older when you had surgery.
  • Had stage IIB or III non-small cell lung cancer that met the study’s tumor and lymph node limits, with no spread to distant parts of the body.
  • Had robot-assisted, video-assisted, or open lung surgery meant to remove all the cancer between January 1, 2016, and March 31, 2024.
  • Before surgery, received chemotherapy plus immunotherapy, or immunotherapy alone. Immunotherapy helps the immune system fight cancer.

Who can't join

  • Were younger than 18 when you had surgery.

Simplified for readability. The official criteria below are what the study team uses.
