What to expect

No one can promise a trial will help you personally — that is what the research is trying to find out.

What participation involves

Not stated in the study description — ask the study team about visits and procedures.

Compensation
Not stated
  • Study-related exams and procedures are typically provided at no cost. This is how many trials work in general — confirm the details for this study with the study team.
  • Participants are monitored closely by the research team throughout the study.
  • Some participants may receive access to an investigational treatment, which is still being studied.
  • Your participation helps researchers learn whether this approach could help future patients.

About this study

In plain language

This study uses SPECT/CT scans to measure radiation doses during 177Lu-PSMA-617 (Pluvicto) treatment. It looks at how radiation reaching tumors relates to how well treatment works, and how radiation reaching normal organs relates to harmful effects. It is for adult men with prostate cancer that has spread and no longer responds to treatment that lowers testosterone.

This study is being performed to establish the association between absorbed dose to tumor and response and absorbed dose to normal organs and toxicity following Lu177-PSMA radioligand therapy

Compensation is read from the study's own description and may be missing — always confirm with the study team.

Eligibility

Who can join

  • Scheduled to receive 177Lu-PSMA-617 treatment for prostate cancer that has spread and no longer responds to treatment that lowers testosterone.
  • Health is stable, as judged by the nuclear medicine care team.
  • Male and at least 18 years old.
  • Willing and able to give informed consent, meaning you understand and agree to join the study.

Who can't join

  • Unable to lie flat on the scanning equipment long enough to complete the scans.

Simplified for readability. The official criteria below are what the study team uses.
