  • Some participants may receive access to an investigational treatment, which is still being studied.
  • Your participation helps researchers learn whether this approach could help future patients.

About this study

In plain language

This study looks at how a history of alcohol or drug use affects finding and treating non-small cell lung cancer. It uses interviews to learn what helps people get care and what gets in the way. Adults with cancers in the chest, including lung and esophageal cancer, may be able to join.

This study will attempt to identify social facilitators and barriers to detection and treatment of non-small cell lung cancer in order to learn how a history of substance abuse or alcohol use impacts care for non-small cell lung cancer.

Compensation is read from the study's own description and may be missing — always confirm with the study team.
