About this study
In plain language
This study tests whether text messages help people get screened for colorectal cancer (cancer of the colon or rectum). It is for people ages 45–75 who are homeless, get care at New York City shelter clinics, and are overdue for screening. The study also includes interviews.
This study is designed to assess the effect of implementing a text messaging strategy for colorectal cancer screening among homeless persons aged 45-75 years, who are not up to date on colorectal cancer screening, in shelter clinics in NYC. This mixed-methods study uses a randomized clinical trial design and semi-structured interviews.
Compensation is read from the study's own description and may be missing — always confirm with the study team.
