What to expect
No one can promise a trial will help you personally — that is what the research is trying to find out.
What participation involves
Not stated in the study description — ask the study team about visits and procedures.
- Compensation
- Not stated
- Study-related exams and procedures are typically provided at no cost. This is how many trials work in general — confirm the details for this study with the study team.
- Participants are monitored closely by the research team throughout the study.
- Some participants may receive access to an investigational treatment, which is still being studied.
- Your participation helps researchers learn whether this approach could help future patients.
About this study
In plain language
This study looks at how long calaspargase pegol stays active enough in the blood to work. It also checks whether higher activity levels or longer-lasting activity are linked to harmful side effects. It is for patients age 21 or younger with acute lymphoblastic leukemia or lymphoma, cancers of the blood or immune system.
This study evaluates the median duration of therapeutic serum asparaginase activity (SAA) levels after administration of calaspargase pegol (Cal-PEG) and the potential association between peak SAA levels and duration of therapeutic levels with toxicity in pediatric patients with acute lymphoblastic leukemia or lymphoma.
Compensation is read from the study's own description and may be missing — always confirm with the study team.
Eligibility
Who can join
- Have acute lymphoblastic leukemia or lymphoma and receive care from a children's blood disease team.
- Receive calaspargase as part of cancer treatment.
Who can't join
- Are older than 21.
- Are currently in the Children's Oncology Group (COG) trial AALL1732 in a treatment group that includes inotuzumab.
