What to expect

No one can promise a trial will help you personally — that is what the research is trying to find out.

What participation involves

Not stated in the study description — ask the study team about visits and procedures.

Compensation

About this study

In plain language

This study tests the safety of AMG 127 and how well people handle one dose or several doses. It is for healthy adults and adults with type 2 diabetes.

The main objective of this trial is to assess the safety and tolerability of AMG 127 as single dose and multiple doses in healthy participants and participants with type 2 diabetes mellitus (T2DM).

Compensation is read from the study's own description and may be missing — always confirm with the study team.

Eligibility

Who can join

  • Parts A and B: Must be 18–65 years old and healthy.
  • Part C: Must be 40–75 years old and have a confirmed diagnosis of type 2 diabetes.

Who can't join

  • All parts: A history of low blood pressure, fainting, or trouble staying upright, such as feeling dizzy when standing.
  • Parts A and B: Blood pressure with a top number above 140 or a bottom number above 90 mmHg.
  • Part C: An A1c level above 10% within the past 3 months. A1c is a blood test that shows average blood sugar over time.
  • Part C: Blood pressure with a top number above 160 or a bottom number above 100 mmHg.

Simplified for readability. The official criteria below are what the study team uses.
