What to expect
No one can promise a trial will help you personally — that is what the research is trying to find out.
What participation involves
Not stated in the study description — ask the study team about visits and procedures.
- Compensation
- Not stated
- Study-related exams and procedures are typically provided at no cost. This is how many trials work in general — confirm the details for this study with the study team.
- Participants are monitored closely by the research team throughout the study.
- Some participants may receive access to an investigational treatment, which is still being studied.
- Your participation helps researchers learn whether this approach could help future patients.
About this study
In plain language
This study tests STRIDE, a small-group program delivered through telehealth visits. It aims to help women with hormone-sensitive breast cancer cope with side effects and take their hormone-blocking medicine as prescribed after their main cancer treatment.
The goal of this study is to demonstrate the efficacy of an evidence-based, small-group, telehealth intervention ('STRIDE') for improving patients' ability to cope with side effects from adjuvant endocrine therapy (AET) and adhere to AET medication regimens for patients with hormone-sensitive breast cancer.
Compensation is read from the study's own description and may be missing — always confirm with the study team.
Eligibility
Who can join
- Women age 21 or older.
- Have stage 0 through stage 3B breast cancer that grows in response to hormones (ER+/PR+).

- Started taking hormone-blocking pills after main cancer treatment 3 to 12 months ago.
- Can care for yourself and are up and about for at least half of your waking hours (ECOG score of 2 or less).
- Can read and respond in English or Spanish.
- Rate distress about hormone-blocking treatment as 4 or higher on a scale from 0 to 10.
Who can't join
- Have problems with thinking or memory, uncontrolled loss of touch with reality, or a serious mental illness that your cancer doctor believes would prevent you from taking part.
- Are enrolled in another clinical trial for hormone-blocking treatment after main cancer treatment.
Simplified for readability. The official criteria below are what the study team uses.
