About this study
In plain language
This study tests whether an artificial intelligence (AI) tool can help patients understand information after their first cancer care visit. It looks at whether the tool is practical to use, whether patients accept it, and its early effects. It is for adults newly diagnosed with prostate cancer that has not spread who are having or recently had a radiation or surgery care visit at UCSF.
A randomized, open-label behavioral study designed to evaluate the feasibility, acceptability, and early impact of a large language model (LLM)-based artificial intelligence (AI) tool to support patient understanding following an initial oncology consultation.
Compensation is read from the study's own description and may be missing — always confirm with the study team.
