About this study

In plain language

This study looks at genes in people with cardiomyopathy, a disease of the heart muscle, and their families. The goal is to learn how genes affect the heart and help guide future advice about inherited health risks.

The goal of this protocol is to obtain information from individuals with cardiomyopathy and from their families in order to elucidate the molecular genetics of this disorder. This will provide the basis for future genetic counseling as well as contribute to elucidating the biology of normal and abnormal cardiac function.

Compensation is read from the study's own description and may be missing — always confirm with the study team.
