About this study
In plain language
This study tests whether an 8-week mindfulness program focused on being kind to yourself or 8 weeks of vitamin D (2000 IU) can lower stress in mothers of babies born early. It also looks at whether these treatments help mothers be kinder to themselves, improve their breast milk, and improve their babies’ health.
The overarching purpose of this study is to determine if a modified 8-week mindfulness-based intervention (with a focus on self-compassion; MBSC) or 8 weeks of 2000 IU vitamin D supplementation will reduce stress and increase self-compassion in mothers of preterm infants and beneficially modify the human milk produced, and subsequently improve infant health.
Compensation is read from the study's own description and may be missing — always confirm with the study team.
