What to expect

No one can promise a trial will help you personally — that is what the research is trying to find out.

What participation involves

Not stated in the study description — ask the study team about visits and procedures.

Compensation
Not stated
  • Study-related exams and procedures are typically provided at no cost. This is how many trials work in general — confirm the details for this study with the study team.
  • Participants are monitored closely by the research team throughout the study.
  • Some participants may receive access to an investigational treatment, which is still being studied.
  • Your participation helps researchers learn whether this approach could help future patients.

About this study

In plain language

This study tests the safety of RMC-6236 and how well adults with advanced solid cancers can tolerate it. It is mainly for people whose cancers have certain changes in RAS genes, but one part also includes people with a type of pancreatic cancer without these changes.

Evaluate the safety and tolerability of RMC-6236 in adults with specific RAS mutant advanced solid tumors.

Compensation is read from the study's own description and may be missing — always confirm with the study team.

Eligibility

Who can join

  • Have an advanced solid cancer confirmed by a tissue test. DNA testing must show certain KRAS G12 or RAS gene changes, depending on the study part.
  • For one study part, people with pancreatic ductal adenocarcinoma (PDAC), a type of pancreatic cancer, may have no RAS gene changes.
  • Have not yet had treatment, or have had standard treatment suited to your cancer type and stage.
  • Be fully active or able to do light work, even if you cannot do hard physical activity.
  • Have organs that work well enough.

Who can't join

  • Have cancer that started in the brain or spinal cord.
  • Have active cancer that has spread to the brain and has not been treated.
  • Have known or suspected digestive problems that could prevent you from swallowing or absorbing medicine taken by mouth.
  • Have another serious or unstable health problem that the study doctor thinks could make participation unsafe, affect survival during the study, or prevent you from following study rules.

Simplified for readability. The official criteria below are what the study team uses.

Official eligibility criteria

Inclusion Criteria: * Histologically confirmed advanced solid tumor with specific KRAS G12 mutations (dose escalation) or RAS mutations (dose optimization/expansion) identified through deoxyribonucleic acid (DNA) sequencing. PDAC with wild-type RAS (expansion). * Treatment naive or have received prior standard therapy appropriate for tumor type and stage * Have Eastern Cooperative Oncology Group (ECOG) performance status of 0 or 1 * Adequate organ function Exclusion Criteria: * Primary central nervous system (CNS) tumors * Active, untreated brain metastases * Known or suspected impairment of gastrointestinal function that may prohibit ability to swallow or absorb an oral medication * History of any other unstable or clinically significant concurrent medical condition that would, in the opinion of the investigator, jeopardize the safety of a participant, impact their expected survival through the end of the study participation, and/or impact their ability to comply with the protocol prior/concomitant therapy Other inclusion/exclusion criteria may apply.
