About this study

In plain language

This study tests whether mobile health apps help adults with overweight or obesity manage their weight and improve their health. It lasts 6 months. Participants must use an app daily, weigh themselves each morning, and check their blood sugar each morning before eating.

The purpose of this study is to determine the effectiveness of mobile health applications in improving health outcomes in patients with overweight and obesity. This study will involve a 6-month long commitment where participants will be expected to use an mHealth app daily, weigh themselves and check their fasting blood glucose levels every morning.

Compensation is read from the study's own description and may be missing — always confirm with the study team.
