What to expect

No one can promise a trial will help you personally — that is what the research is trying to find out.

What participation involves

Not stated in the study description — ask the study team about visits and procedures.

Compensation
Not stated
  • Study-related exams and procedures are typically provided at no cost. This is how many trials work in general — confirm the details for this study with the study team.
  • Participants are monitored closely by the research team throughout the study.
  • Some participants may receive access to an investigational treatment, which is still being studied.
  • Your participation helps researchers learn whether this approach could help future patients.

About this study

In plain language

This study is for people starting care for a first episode of psychosis, which can make it hard to tell what is real. It compares usual team-based care with usual care plus five extra services: peer support, digital outreach, help coordinating care, group therapy for families, and training in thinking skills. Researchers want to see if the extra services lead to more clinic visits in the first year.

The goal of this clinical trial is to compare engagement in treatment in coordinated specialty care (CSC) to five extra care elements (CSC 2.0) in first-episode psychosis. The main question it aims to answer is: • Does the addition of certain elements of care increase the number of visits in treatment for first-episode psychosis? Participants will either: * Receive care as usual (CSC) or * Receive care as usual (CSC) plus five additional care elements (CSC 2.0): 1. Individual peer support 2. Digital outreach 3. Care coordination 4. Multi-family group therapy 5. Cognitive remediation Researchers will compare the standard of care (CSC) to CSC 2.0 to see if participants receiving CSC 2.0 have more visits to their clinic in their first year.

Compensation is read from the study's own description and may be missing — always confirm with the study team.
