About this study
In plain language
CROWN tests whether a beauty salon program is practical and may help Black and Hispanic women manage high blood pressure. The program includes blood pressure checks by trained stylists, home checks with remote health care support, coaching from community health workers, and medicine management by pharmacists.
CROWN is a two-arm, cluster-randomized pilot trial testing the feasibility and preliminary efficacy of a salon-based cardiovascular intervention - training stylists as Heart Health Stylists to conduct in-salon blood pressure screenings, home monitoring with telehealth support, community health-worker coaching, and pharmacist-led medication management - among Black and Hispanic women with hypertension.
Compensation is read from the study's own description and may be missing — always confirm with the study team.
