What to expect
No one can promise a trial will help you personally — that is what the research is trying to find out.
What participation involves
Not stated in the study description — ask the study team about visits and procedures.
- Compensation
- Not stated
- Study-related exams and procedures are typically provided at no cost. This is how many trials work in general — confirm the details for this study with the study team.
- Participants are monitored closely by the research team throughout the study.
- Some participants may receive access to an investigational treatment, which is still being studied.
- Your participation helps researchers learn whether this approach could help future patients.
About this study
In plain language
This study compares AI-guided pacing with pacing done without AI in an area of the heart's electrical system. It tests which approach works better at helping the heart's lower chambers beat together and improving health outcomes. It is for adults with heart failure and reduced heart pumping strength.
The purpose of this study is to compare the effectiveness of AI-guided LBBAP versus conventional LBBAP (not AI-guided) in improving CRT response rates and clinical outcomes.
Compensation is read from the study's own description and may be missing — always confirm with the study team.
Eligibility
Who can join
- Age 18 or older.
- A heart pumping measurement called LVEF below 50% in the past 6 months.
- Meet at least one of these: an electrical signal lasting at least 130 milliseconds on a resting ECG (heart tracing); expected pacing of the heart's lower right chamber more than 40% of the time; or an existing device providing that much pacing in the past 6 months.
- Heart failure medicines adjusted to follow treatment guidelines.
- An AI review of the ECG gives a score above 0.5 for the chance of low LVEF.
Who can't join
- Under age 18.
- Unable to take part in follow-up.
- Pregnant.
Simplified for readability. The official criteria below are what the study team uses.
Official eligibility criteria
Inclusion Criteria * Age: 18 years or older. * Left Ventricular Ejection Fraction (LVEF): \<50% within 6 months prior to enrollment. * QRS Duration: Resting QRS duration ≥ 130 ms on ECG OR anticipated right ventricular pacing \> 40% OR device in place with right ventricular pacing \> 40% within 6 months prior to enrollment. * Medical Therapy: Optimized on guideline-directed medical therapy for heart failure. * AI-ECG probability of low LVEF: \>0.5 Exclusion Criteria * Age less than 18 years old * Inability to follow-up * Pregnancy
