About this study
In plain language
This study tests whether the Confident Caregiver program can improve mental health and reduce care-related stress. It is for family caregivers of people with heart or blood vessel disease in cardiac rehabilitation, a heart recovery program. Caregivers receive four one-on-one sessions with coaching, stress relief tips, education, and help finding support.
The purpose of this study is to evaluate the preliminary efficacy, feasibility, acceptability, and barriers and facilitators to implementation of the Confident Caregiver intervention among family caregivers of persons with cardiovascular disease participating in cardiac rehabilitation. Caregivers receive four individualized intervention sessions focused on assessment of caregiving challenges, tailored coaching, stress reduction, education, and referrals to supportive resources. Outcomes include reductions in caregiving-related challenges, improvements in mental health, and reductions in stress.
Compensation is read from the study's own description and may be missing — always confirm with the study team.
