What to expect

No one can promise a trial will help you personally — that is what the research is trying to find out.

What participation involves

  • Visits mentioned: 5 visits, 14 visits
  • Procedures mentioned: Blood draws

Only what the study's summary and detailed description on ClinicalTrials.gov say. Time periods may describe the whole study or a part of it — ask the study team what applies to you.

Show the study's own words
  • "Blood tests will be performed to investigate how the body processes the study drug and how the study drug affects the body."
  • "For each participant in Part A, the study will last about 10 weeks and will include a stay in the Clinical Research Unit (CRU) lasting 5 nights along with 5 outpatient visits to the CRU."
  • "For each participant in Part B, the study will last about 21 weeks and will include 4 stays totaling 11 nights along with 14 outpatient visits to the CRU."
Compensation
Not stated
  • Study-related exams and procedures are typically provided at no cost. This is how many trials work in general — confirm the details for this study with the study team.
  • Participants are monitored closely by the research team throughout the study.
  • Some participants may receive access to an investigational treatment, which is still being studied.
  • Your participation helps researchers learn whether this approach could help future patients.

About this study

In plain language

This study tests how well people tolerate LY4329090 and what side effects it may cause. It is for adults with obesity or overweight who are otherwise healthy. Blood tests will check how the body processes the drug and how the drug affects the body.

The main purpose of this study is to assess how well LY4329090 is tolerated and what side effects may occur in healthy participants with obesity or overweight. Blood tests will be performed to investigate how the body processes the study drug and how the study drug affects the body. Study participants will be in one of 2 parts. For each participant in Part A, the study will last about 10 weeks and will include a stay in the Clinical Research Unit (CRU) lasting 5 nights along with 5 outpatient visits to the CRU. For each participant in Part B, the study will last about 21 weeks and will include 4 stays totaling 11 nights along with 14 outpatient visits to the CRU.

Compensation is read from the study's own description and may be missing — always confirm with the study team.

  • Have obesity caused by another hormone disorder, a single gene change, or a diagnosed genetic syndrome.
  • Have diagnosed low or high calcium, or confirmed abnormal blood levels of calcium or phosphorus.
  • Have a serious problem with how your stomach empties; have had weight loss surgery or treatment using a scope or device; had an obesity device used or removed in the past 6 months; or plan device treatment during the study.
  • Have type 1 or type 2 diabetes, or an A1c blood sugar test result of 6.5% or higher at screening.
