What to expect

No one can promise a trial will help you personally — that is what the research is trying to find out.

What participation involves

Not stated in the study description — ask the study team about visits and procedures.

Compensation
Not stated
  • Study-related exams and procedures are typically provided at no cost. This is how many trials work in general — confirm the details for this study with the study team.
  • Participants are monitored closely by the research team throughout the study.
  • Some participants may receive access to an investigational treatment, which is still being studied.
  • Your participation helps researchers learn whether this approach could help future patients.

About this study

In plain language

This Phase 2 study tests the safety of SUN-627 and how well people can handle taking it. It is for men and women ages 18–70 with primary progressive MS (PPMS) or non-active secondary progressive MS (SPMS), forms of multiple sclerosis that get worse over time.

The goal of this Phase 2 clinical trial is to investigate the safety and tolerability of SUN-627 in men and women aged 18-70 years old with a diagnosis of non-active SPMS/PPMS.

Compensation is read from the study's own description and may be missing — always confirm with the study team.

Eligibility

Who can join

  • You are 18–70 years old.
  • You have PPMS or non-active SPMS.
  • You have had no MS relapses (flare-ups) in the past 2 years.
  • There is evidence that your MS has kept getting worse over time.
  • Your level of disability meets the study’s requirements.

Who can't join

  • You used certain medicines or treatments before the study, or need them during the study.
  • You are taking part in another research study.
  • You have certain unusual heart rhythms on an ECG (a test of the heart’s electrical activity), or other heart problems that may raise your risk.
  • You have certain serious or unstable health problems that could make the study unsafe.
  • You have an infection now, had one recently, or have a history of repeated infections.

Simplified for readability. The official criteria below are what the study team uses.
