What to expect

No one can promise a trial will help you personally — that is what the research is trying to find out.

What participation involves

  • Time periods mentioned: 60 months
  • Procedures mentioned: Ultrasound

Only what the study's summary and detailed description on ClinicalTrials.gov say. Time periods may describe the whole study or a part of it — ask the study team what applies to you.

Show the study's own words
  • "The objective of the Global Paradise® System US Post Approval Study (US GPS) is to evaluate the real-world use of the Paradise Ultrasound Renal Denervation System indicated for patients who are unable to lower their blood pressure with lifestyle changes and medication."
  • "Hypertension patients that meet the study eligibility criteria will undergo the ultrasound renal denervation procedure using the Paradise System and will be asked to measure their blood pressure throughout the study, including measuring BP out of the clinic setting using a home BP monitoring device provided by the study."
  • "As part of study participation, everyone who receives ultrasound renal denervation will be seen by the study doctor and designated study team members for 60 months (5 years) following the procedure."
Compensation
Not stated
  • Study-related exams and procedures are typically provided at no cost. This is how many trials work in general — confirm the details for this study with the study team.
  • Participants are monitored closely by the research team throughout the study.
  • Some participants may receive access to an investigational treatment, which is still being studied.
  • Your participation helps researchers learn whether this approach could help future patients.

About this study

In plain language

This study looks at the long-term safety and how well the FDA-approved Paradise System works in everyday care. It is for people whose high blood pressure has not come down with lifestyle changes and medicine.

The objective of the Global Paradise® System US Post Approval Study (US GPS) is to evaluate the real-world use of the Paradise Ultrasound Renal Denervation System indicated for patients who are unable to lower their blood pressure with lifestyle changes and medication. This system is comprised of a catheter, cable, balloon, and generator and has received FDA approval in the United States. Information collected in this study will be analyzed to better understand the long-term safety and effectiveness of treatment with the Paradise System for patients with high blood pressure.

Compensation is read from the study's own description and may be missing — always confirm with the study team.
