What to expect

No one can promise a trial will help you personally — that is what the research is trying to find out.

What participation involves

Not stated in the study description — ask the study team about visits and procedures.

Compensation
Not stated
  • Study-related exams and procedures are typically provided at no cost. This is how many trials work in general — confirm the details for this study with the study team.
  • Participants are monitored closely by the research team throughout the study.
  • Some participants may receive access to an investigational treatment, which is still being studied.
  • Your participation helps researchers learn whether this approach could help future patients.

About this study

In plain language

This study checks who may qualify for Roche studies that test treatments for Alzheimer's disease. It is for people who are willing and able to join those studies and learn whether they may qualify.

This study is a pre-screening process used to assess participants' potential eligibility for Roche interventional Alzheimer's disease studies.

Compensation is read from the study's own description and may be missing — always confirm with the study team.

Eligibility

Who can join

  • You are willing and able to join a Roche Alzheimer's treatment study and meet its key rules, such as age limits.
  • You are willing and able to receive information about whether you may qualify for a linked Roche Alzheimer's study.

Who can't join

  • You need help with basic daily tasks because of problems with memory or thinking.
  • Vision or hearing problems would keep you from taking memory and thinking tests. Glasses and hearing aids are allowed.
  • You report signs of, or have been diagnosed with, a brain or nerve condition other than Alzheimer's that may cause memory or thinking problems.
  • You have had a severe, medically significant injury to your brain or spinal cord.
  • You have a serious health condition that would keep you from safely joining and finishing a study.
  • If you have been diagnosed with mild cognitive impairment (mild memory or thinking problems) or mild Alzheimer's: a past Alzheimer's diagnosis confirmed by an approved or validated test rules you out. Examples include an amyloid PET brain scan, a spinal fluid test, or a blood test.

Simplified for readability. The official criteria below are what the study team uses.

Official eligibility criteria

Inclusion Criteria: * Ability and willingness to participate in an interventional clinical study, including meeting key eligibility criteria of linked interventional Roche AD studies (e.g., specific age ranges) * Ability and willingness to receive information about potential eligibility in an associated interventional Roche AD study Exclusion Criteria: * Dependency in basic activities of daily living (bADLs) due to cognitive impairment * Visual or auditory impairment that would prevent them from performing the cognitive assessments (eyeglasses and hearing aids are permitted) * Any self-reported evidence or known diagnosis of a neurological or neurodegenerative condition that may lead to cognitive impairment other than AD * History of severe, clinically significant central nervous system trauma * Any serious medical condition that precludes a participant's safe participation and completion of a clinical study * For participants with a clinical diagnosis of MCI or mild AD: Previous AD diagnosis based on biomarker confirmation with an approved or validated rule in method (e.g., amyloid PET or cerebrospinal fluid, blood biomarker) is exclusionary
