Study of Izalontamab Brengitecan (BMS-986507) Versus Platinum-Pemetrexed for EGFR-mutated Non-small Cell Lung Cancer After Failure of EGFR TKI Therapy (IZABRIGHT-Lung01)
IZABRIGHT-Lung01: A Randomized, Open-label, Phase 2/3 Study of Izalontamab Brengitecan (BMS-986507) Versus Platinum-based Chemotherapy in Patients With EGFR-mutated Non-small Cell Lung Cancer and Disease Progression on EGFR Tyrosine Kinase Inhibitor Therapy

What to expect
No one can promise a trial will help you personally — that is what the research is trying to find out.
What participation involves
Not stated in the study description — ask the study team about visits and procedures.
- Compensation
- Not stated
- Study-related exams and procedures are typically provided at no cost. This is how many trials work in general — confirm the details for this study with the study team.
- Participants are monitored closely by the research team throughout the study.
- Some participants may receive access to an investigational treatment, which is still being studied.
- Your participation helps researchers learn whether this approach could help future patients.
About this study
In plain language
This study compares izalontamab brengitecan (BMS-986507) with platinum-pemetrexed chemotherapy. It is for people with non-small cell lung cancer with certain EGFR gene changes whose cancer has grown despite EGFR-targeted treatment.
A Study of Izalontamab Brengitecan (BMS-986507) versus Platinum-Pemetrexed for EGFR-mutated Non-small Cell Lung Cancer after failure of EGFR TKI Therapy
Compensation is read from the study's own description and may be missing — always confirm with the study team.
Eligibility
Who can join
- Have non-squamous non-small cell lung cancer, a type of lung cancer, that cannot be treated with the goal of a cure.
- Have a confirmed EGFR gene change called an exon 19 deletion or L858R mutation.
- Your cancer grew during your most recent treatment with a newer EGFR-targeted drug, such as osimertinib, furmonertinib, or lazertinib, alone or with other drugs. This treatment may have been given after surgery or for cancer that spread nearby or to other parts of the body.
- Can receive pemetrexed chemotherapy with either cisplatin or carboplatin.
Who can't join
- Your organs do not work well enough, or your bone marrow cannot make enough blood cells.
- Have cancer in the tissue and fluid around the brain and spinal cord, or pressure on the spinal cord.
- Have other medical conditions affecting the body that are not well controlled.
- Other study rules also apply.
Simplified for readability. The official criteria below are what the study team uses.
Official eligibility criteria
Inclusion Criteria: * Non-squamous NSCLC, not amenable to treatment in curative intent. * Documented evidence of EGFR mutation (exon 19 deletion, L858R mutation). * Progressive disease on a 3rd-generation (such as osimertinib, furmonertinib, lazertinib,...) EGFR-TKI-based mono- or combination therapy regimen as the most recent line of therapy in an adjuvant, locally advanced, or metastatic treatment setting. * Eligible to receive a platinum-based doublet chemotherapy regimen (either cisplatin or carboplatin in combination with pemetrexed). Exclusion criteria: * Inadequate organ function and/or bone marrow reserve. * Leptomeningeal metastases or spinal cord compression. * Poorly controlled systemic medical conditions. * Other protocol-defined inclusion/exclusion criteria apply.
